I think what you published was actually very reasonable. But, what about this? suppose you wrote a catchier post title? I ain't saying your content isn't good., but what if you added a post title that makes people want more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little boring. You could look at Yahoo's home page and see how they create news titles to get viewers to open the links. You might add a related video or a related picture or two to grab people interested about what you've written. Just my opinion, it might bring your website a little bit more interesting.
