I believe what you published was very reasonable. But, think on this, suppose you were to write a killer headline? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, but suppose you added a title to possibly get people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You ought to look at Yahoo's front page and see how they create news titles to get viewers to open the links. You might add a video or a picture or two to grab readers interested about everything've written. In my opinion, it could bring your blog a little livelier.
